1951 W. cortland
Honored with a 2005 Silver Key Award for Excellence in Housing Design from The Home Builders Association of Greater Chicago.
Deep brick piers were designed to carry large stacked porches for the residential units, with
a recessed facade fronting the units themselves.
At the top of each pier is a stone finial, with brick and stone corbels carrying the wooden arches and carved beams of a pergola.
Brick and stone were selected for the facade to express the quality and permanence of construction, and to compliment the character of the neighborhood.
